That means it is time to get your hands dirty and plant perennials!

Fall is the BEST time to plant most perennials. The soil is nice and warm and temperatures are cooler - fall is a gentle time to plant! Perennials have all fall and next spring to settle in and get their roots well established in their new home before taking on the summer heat!

Planting Wildflower Seeds?

Fall/Winter/Early Spring in also the ideal time to plant native seeds! Many of them require a period of 'cold stratification' (cool & moist conditions) before they will grow. By far the easiest and best way to accomplish that is to let Mother Nature do it herself!
