Here’s a gardener’s secret for you. Fall is the BEST time to plant most perennials!
The cool fall and spring weather gives them plenty of time to get well established before taking on the sometimes harsh reality of summer weather.
What about Wildflower Seeds, you say?
Fall/Winter/Early Spring in also the ideal time to plant native seeds!
Many of them require a period of ‘cold stratification’ (cool & moist conditions) before they will grow.
By far the easiest and best way to accomplish that is to let Mother Nature do it herself.
