Clusters of creamy white flowers in June and July are followed by persistent fruits that turn from pink to blue, this densely growing shrub has broad and shiny leaves that turn wine-red in fall, tolerates wet/mucky or acid soil, attracts native and honey bees, caterpillar host, good rain garden plant, beautiful fruits are terrific wildlife (bird) food.
