Clusters of white bell-like flowers from April through May mature to large attractive 3-lobed inflated green seed pods that eventually turn brown and persist into the winter, 3-parted dark green leaves turn pale yellow in fall, fast growing, spreads by rhizomes to form colonies, prefers alkaline soil pH 7 to 8.
