Seaside Goldenrod Picture

Outstanding golden yellow flower heads with curling side branches bloom from July through November, thick dark green leaves up to a foot long toward the base, spreads by seed and rhizomes, very salt tolerant, found on dunes, salt marshes and beaches, attracts butterflies, bees, beetles and other insects. A beautiful plant that prefers poor or salty soil - rich soil will make it become rank & floppy.
