Loose terminal spikes of fringed ½" yellow lemon-scented flowers July through October, fragrant large toothed oval leaves (6 to 10" long), host plant to several moths including the Yellow Stoneroot Borer Moth (Papaipema astuta), grows from woody rootstock, likes rich woodland soil.
