Bright white 1-2" flowers with lemon yellow centers top out this beautiful plant from May through June, deeply cut leaves 6-8 inches long surround the upright stems, forming colonies by creeping rootstocks, clay tolerant, easy to grow, good groundcover.
Native Range: Gaspe Peninsula of QC to BC, west & south to MT, AZ, TN, w. VA, & n. NJ. Rare in CT, KY, MD, & TN
Germination - Moderately Difficult: Warm stratify 4 weeks, then either cold stratify 8 weeks or plant out in early spring for fluctuating temperatures.
