Outstanding spikes of large deep yellow flowers on foot long racemes from May-June followed by narrow hairy seed pods, clump forming, blue-green foliage, host plant for Wild Indigo Duskywing Butterfly caterpillars (Erynnis baptisiae), good cut flower, rich soil.
