Northern Dropseed Sporobolus heterolepis Poaceae

Lovely fine fragrant (!) pink flowers create a cloud-like canopy to this elegant ornamental grass from August to September, develops tufted mounds of arching hair-like leaves, green leaves turn golden bronze in fall & persist through the winter, an excellent fine textured ornamental, birds enjoy the seeds, interesting cut flower, tolerates clay soil, drought tolerant.
