Sprays of fine half inch white flowers from April through June, thick fleshy leaves (up to 3/4 inch) in whorls of three, food plant for the Variegated Fritillary (Euptoieta claudia) Butterfly caterpillars, an adaptable and interesting evergreen groundcover that I have seen growing on both dry slopes & covering rocks in mid-stream, remarkably tolerant of dry shade.
