Beautiful deep yellow-orange black-eyed 2.5" daisies bloom in August & September, broad attractive dark green leaves up to 8" long, spreads well by runners, excellent cut flowers, attracts butterflies, drought tolerant, food plant for Pearl Crescent (Phyciodes tharos), Silvery Checkerspot (Chlosyne nycteis), Wavy-lined Emerald (Synchlora aerata) Butterfly caterpillars. A very nice garden plant that creates a much more compact & dense effect compared to Rudbeckia hirta (Black-eyed Susan). Black-eyed Susan's as a group (including both R. fulgida & R. hirta & others) are the State Flower of Maryland.
