Our showiest native Raspberry is thornless (!) with large (2) deep purple flowers from May through August which are followed by dome-shaped delicious raspberries, flowers are a major nectar source for Butterflies & Bees (including Honeybees), fuzzy leaves are large (up to 1) & maple-shaped, papery exfoliating bark on older canes interesting even in winter, colony forming by stolons, fruits attract birds & other wildlife.
