Clusters of tiny white to very pale violet flowers are tightly bunched in 1” flat-topped heads surrounded by silvery leaf-like bracts at the tops of tall leafy stems from June through September, broad lightly toothed 2 1/2 “ leaves are nicely fragrant – sort of spearminty, great nectar plant for butterflies and other small wild creatures, a true mint that spreads by rhizomes (so be careful where you plant it), average to moist, sun to part shade, 2-3’ tall.
