Beautiful bright buttery yellow 1-2" flowers from May through August, roundly narrow green leaves turn reddish in fall, salt tolerant, very popular with small bees & other pollinators, attracts hummingbirds, in warmer parts of its range it has evergreen rosettes of leaves, spreads by rhizomes & seed, drought tolerant. Unlike most Oenothera, Sundrops opens its flowers wide during the day.
