This tiny, mat-forming plant creates a striking effect as it produces large colonies with masses of 1/2" wide sky blue flowers with yellow eyes from April through July continuing with scattered flowers until frost, 1/2" leaves are slender & mostly basal, acid loving, sun to partial sun, average moisture, found on grassy slopes, thickets, lawns, fields & woodland clearings, an intriguing addition to rock garden or field, 2-6" tall.
