Long-lasting clusters of white flowers from June through August, oval 2-3” blue-green leaves grow in whorls below the flowers, drought tolerant, does well in poor soil (including sandy, rocky & even clay soil!), spreads by short rhizomes and seeds, rarely grazed due to a toxic latex in leaves and stem, bees & wasps love flowers, birds enjoy the seeds.
