Unusual 1" dense globe-like flower heads of small white flowers mingled with pointed green-blue bracts from July through September, spiny-edged yucca-like leaves up to 2' long, dry to moist soil, sun, 2-4' tall. Native Americans in what is now Missouri used this plant to make sandals for over 7,000 years!
