Eastern Star Sedge
An excellent fine-leaved sedge that grows in dense flowing tufts from very short rhizomes, starry flowers from May to June produce starry seed heads, songbird food, sand tolerant, terrific groundcover or accent, spreads primarily by seed.

Native Range: NS across s. ON to ND, south to GA, AR, & KS
Germination - Easy: Cold Stratify 4 weeks, then fluctuating temperatures (ie. put outdoors in spring)
