Heads of compact white flowers from April to June, semi-evergreen foliage is silky-hairy grey-green above & almost silvery below, forms rosettes up to 6” across with individual spoon-shaped leaves up to 3” long, an attractive & vigorous ground cover, host to the American Painted Lady Butterfly caterpillar (Vanessa virginiensis), thrives under dry conditions, drought resistant, tolerates acid soil.
