Crowded spikes of pale purple flowers (darker in full sun) mixed with purple bracts from July through September, leaves large (up to 4.5" long) & ending just below the flower spikes, spreads well by seed (though not aggressively), foliage is mint-like & very fragrant (it’s in the mint family!), plant this where you can touch it and enjoy the scent, excellent nectar plant, attracts butterflies, drought tolerant, nice cut flower.
